I’m Susan, a Brazilian illustrator & graphic designer based in Berlin

I didn’t take the traditional art school path, and I’m still early in my illustration career, but I’ve been drawing and creating for as long as I can remember.

My work is a mix of storytelling and visual art with a bit of a fight. I’m interested in how bodies carry history - how illness, migration, racism, and colonialism leave traces not just in our skin, but in our everyday lives. Through illustration, I try to make space for those stories.

Beyond painting, I’m currently finishing a novel about chronic pain, loneliness, and rebellion. I’m also developing a graphic novel and working on illustrations for independent projects.
